About

Kurvynas tells you which door to pick when it’s late and everyone has an opinion. If a place is bad, we say so, and why.

Who writes it

Kurvynas is written by one person who prefers to stay out of the picture. No bio, no photo. When Kurvynas says “we”, it means Kurvynas.

How we review

  • Real visits only. Every review comes after an actual visit. Haven’t been, won’t write it. No reviews from press releases or other people’s lists.
  • We pay our own way, apart from Vanagai, see below. No invites, no comped meals.
  • Nobody pays to be here. No ads, no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no paid spots. Kurvynas earns nothing, on purpose.
  • Facts are checked and dated. Every venue page says when the hours were last checked and where the facts came from (the venue’s own page or public listings). Places change. If the date looks old, check before you go.
  • No drink brands, no drink prices. We name the kind (“orange wine”, “a Riesling”) and stop there. Lithuania bans alcohol advertising, and a guide doesn’t need label names to tell you where to sit.
  • Price level covers the whole place. € easy, €€ a normal night out, €€€ you’ll feel it.
  • Staff stay nameless. Slow service gets written down, without names.
  • If you press “Show where I am”, your location is only used on that page to draw the dot and the walking distances, and it never leaves your phone.

Vanagai

Full disclosure: the person who writes this guide co-owns Vanagai (Stiklių 4).

We don’t review Vanagai. Its page says what it set out to be, and the verdict is yours. That line sits next to every mention of it on this site.

Your location is only used on this page to draw the dot and the walking distances, and it never leaves your phone.
